For students in residence halls:
- I have a light out/broken outlet/my lock or card reader doesn’t work/my room is too hot/cold/there’s a plumbing issue, etc.
- Notify Hall Staff; your Hall Director or Resident Assistant. This is an accountability issue. They need to know what is going on in their building and they are our point of contact.
- They will investigate your issue and notify Facilities for you.
- My Wi-Fi or ethernet port is broken.
- TCU’s Information Technology department maintains the Wi-Fi and even the physical ethernet ports on campus.
- You can report your issue here.
- The laundry machines don’t work.
- These machines are leased from a third party not associated with Facilities. Each machine has contact information on them to report an issue.
- If a machine is actively leaking into the building, the floor drain is clogged or they don’t have power, then notify Hall Staff to report it to Facilities.
- My fridge, microwave, stove, or any other appliance is broken.

For non-residence hall building requests (classroom and office buildings):

- Notify your Building Manager. This is an accountability issue. They need to know what is going on in their building and they are our point of contact.
- Your Building Manager is usually your department’s front desk person (some larger buildings with multiple departments have more than one Manager).
- If you don’t know who your department’s Building Manager is call us at extension 7956 and we will help you.
- There is a problem with or I want to order audio/visual equipment, chairs or a whiteboard for my classroom.
- The Center for Instructional Services supplies and maintains technology as well as teaching aid equipment in the classrooms.
- You can report your issue here.
- My computer, Wi-Fi, or ethernet port is broken.
- TCU’s Information Technology department maintains the Wi-Fi, networks, TCU-owned computers and even the physical ethernet ports on campus.

- I want a new outlet installed/a door put in a wall/a new wall put up or a wall taken down or other renovation projects.
- Facilities pays for lights, filters, and other minor repairs as well as the labor out of our budget.
- More expensive and labor-intensive jobs require your department’s budget codes and the approval of your department’s vice chancellor and budget manager.
- Turn in your renovation request like any other maintenance repair request and we will forward you the form that needs to be filled out and signed.
- Once this form is filled out a Project Coordinator will contact you.
