TCU Student Payment Portal
Transact is TCU’s student billing and payment platform. Students and their authorized users can review account information, view billing statements, and make payments online. Students access Transact through my.tcu.edu.
- To protect student privacy and financial information, parents, guardians, and other authorized users must be granted access credentials by the student before they can view account balances, review financial details, or make payments on the student’s behalf.

Payment deadlines and terms
Review your current billing statement for the minimum amount due and payment deadline.
- Monthly billing: Statements are generally available around the 12th of each month, with payment due on the first day of the following month.
- Billing schedule: Fall billing begins in July, spring billing begins in December, and summer billing begins in May.
- Select the correct term: Choose the appropriate term to view the applicable charges and balance.
- Fall and Spring: Charges for these terms are due according to the monthly billing schedule and may be paid through an available payment plan.
- Summer and Wintersession: Charges for these terms must be paid by their stated deadlines and are not included in fall or spring payment plans.
Past-Due Balances
Keep your student account in good standing by making required payments by the stated deadlines.
- Financial holds: An unpaid required payment may result in a financial hold, which can prevent future enrollment and additional charges from being added to the account. The hold is removed once the account is brought back into good standing.
- Late fees: If the required monthly minimum payment is received after the due date, a late fee of 1% of the past-due payment amount will be assessed, with a minimum charge of $7.50.
- Need assistance? If you are unable to make a payment by the deadline, contact Student Financial Services as soon as possible to discuss your account.
Granting Access to Parents and Authorized Individuals
Students can grant parents, guardians, or other designated individuals access to specific academic and financial information through the MyTCU Portal. Access is not automatically granted to parents or guardians and must be authorized by the student.
How to Grant Access
- Log In: Sign in to the MyTCU Portal using your TCU credentials.
- Select Grant Access: Locate and select the Grant Access to Others tile.
- Add an Authorized User: Create an account for the individual you wish to authorize. Students may designate up to three authorized users.
- Assign a PIN: Create a unique Personal Identification Number (PIN) for the authorized user. This PIN must be provided when contacting TCU staff to discuss the student's academic or financial information.
- Set Permissions: Select the information the authorized user may access by checking the appropriate boxes. Available options may include financial information, billing, academic records, holds, and relationship summaries.
- Complete the Profile: Specify the individual's relationship to the student and enter a start and end date, if required.
- Save Your Changes: Review the information and selected permissions, then save to complete the authorization.
Important: Students are responsible for managing authorized users and their access permissions. Authorized individuals should use their assigned credentials and PIN when accessing or discussing student information. Students should never share their TCU login credentials.
Payment Options and Fees
- Electronic check or ACH: Pay from a checking or savings account using the bank routing and account numbers. There is a $0.50 ACH payment fee per transaction.
- Credit or debit card: Online card payments carry a 2.95% convenience fee. Review the fee and total before submitting.
- International payments: Use TCU’s designated international payment button located at www.my.tcu.edu portal.
- Mailed payments, including 529 plan payments: Include the student’s name and TCU ID number. Send payment to TCU Student Payments, P.O. Box 735556, Dallas, TX 75373-5556.
Payment plans
- Availability: TCU’s payment plan is available for the fall and spring semesters only. Summer and Wintersession charges are not eligible for the payment plan and must be paid by their stated deadlines.
- Payment schedule: Pay 20% of basic charges in the first month and an additional 20% the following month. The remaining net basic charges are then divided into three monthly installments.
- Basic charges: Basic charges include tuition, fees, housing, meal plans, and student health insurance. Review your billing statement for the amount due after financial aid has been applied.
- Enrollment: Students with unpaid net basic charges after September 1 for fall or February 1 for spring will be automatically enrolled.
- Enrollment fee: A fee of 1.66% of the remaining balance, up to a maximum of $100 per semester, is assessed for participation in the payment plan.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why does my balance differ from my billing statement?
Your statement reflects your account on the date it was issued. Charges, payments, financial aid, or adjustments posted afterward can change your current balance.
Can I pay less than the full balance?
You may make a partial payment when that option is available. You must still satisfy the minimum payment due by the deadline. A smaller payment does not extend the deadline or prevent a financial hold or late fee.
Does paying with a debit card avoid the convenience fee?
No. A debit card processed as a card payment is subject to the card fee.
What if I am unsure whether my payment went through?
Check your payment history and confirmation email before submitting another payment. If the status is unclear, contact Student Financial Services to avoid a duplicate payment.
What if my financial aid is missing?
Review your financial-aid information in myTCU for outstanding requirements. Anticipated aid may not yet be posted to your account. Contact Scholarships and Financial Aid for help with scholarship questions.
Who can help with my bill or payment deadline?
Contact TCU Student Financial Services at 817-257-7836 or finserv@tcu.edu for questions about charges, balances, due dates, or payment plans.
